I reviewed a lot of rabbit vibes when I first started this blog. That’s because I liked them and thought that whoever died with the most rabbit vibes wins. No, not really. But I had a sincere interest in wanting to try as many as possible because there were so many different designs, sizes, and so forth. Plus, I typically had a lot of success with rabbit vibes, so I guess you could say they were well within my reviewing comfort zone.

But this was before I made any concerted effort to locate and successfully stimulate my G-spot. Sure, rabbits are “dual stimulators” and in theory should be hitting the clit and G-spot at the same time. But in reality, they don’t work at all for a lot of women and aren’t particularly effective for many others. In my experience, as long as I have ears (or other jiggly bits) flapping against my clit, pretty much anything else (within reason) simultaneously going on inside me is going to feel good, whether it’s actually hitting my G-spot or not.

Then I got my first non-vibrating insertable sex toy to review. Without any vibration against my clit, I had to pay attention to the metal thing inside me and how it felt. This was more challenging, but shifting the focus to my G-spot caused different sensations, and often more intense orgasms. I haven’t lost all interest in rabbit vibrators, but I did get a little bored reviewing them after a while and decided to spend some time (and toys) exploring my G-spot. This is why I’ve been reviewing more dildos and clit vibes. Because I still very much like the dual-stimulation thing.

As you may already know if you follow me on Tumblr, Pinterest, or Twitter, for the past few weeks I’ve been playing with Lovehoney‘s Jessica Rabbit 2.0 G-Spot. This is the first rabbit I’ve reviewed since Evolved sent me a Dream Maker Nocturnal Emission, and that was over a year ago.

Like the Dream Maker Nocturnal Emission, Jessica Rabbit 2.0 G-Spot (these long product names are going to drive me mental) also has a curved tip, so it’s designed to stimulate the G-spot. Only, the Jessica Rabbit is smaller and doesn’t have the hundreds of vibration settings and functions, thank goodness.

It has five buttons, though. They’re close together and practically flush with the handle surface, so they’re not very easy to feel. They’re not all that easy to see, either. I typically end up hitting the wrong button quite often, which is frustrating. My Jopen Vanity Vr10 with its simple two-button control has me so spoiled.

The shaft has 3 rotation speeds, and it can switch direction. This takes 3 buttons to operate. At the bottom of the control pad, there’s an up arrow that turns the shaft on at the slowest speed. Push it again to increase the speed, and the little amber lights (up by the buttons that control the clit vibe) indicate the shaft setting. There’s also a down arrow that you press to slow the shaft speed or, if it’s already at the slowest setting, turn off the shaft motor. If you want the shaft to change direction, press the round “R/S” button.

The bunny-covered bullet is controlled by the “on/off” button at the top of the handle, which (as one would assume) turns the power on and off, and an oval “7″ button that changes the vibration setting. It has 3 speeds of constant vibration, an escalating pulse, a fast “busy signal” pulse, a short-sharp pulse, and a pattern of 3 short pulses followed by a long pulse.

Considering this vibe runs on 3 AAA batteries, I’d say it has adequate power. It’s not really fair to compare it to something truly awesome like my Jopen Vanity Vr10, even though at the slowest speeds they start out with similar vibration strength, because the Jopen is rechargeable and has very powerful motors. The shaft definitely has more oomph in its rotation, and at just its second speed the Jopen clit vibe feels stronger than Jessica Rabbit’s fastest constant vibration setting.

However, Jessica Rabbit has something the Jopen doesn’t, and that’s the rotating beads. On me, these end up just inside my vaginal opening, so while the curved tip rubs my G-spot, or at least close enough in that general direction, those beads spinning around feel fantastic further down. The bunny ears don’t come up quite high enough to perfectly hit my clit they way I’d like them to, but since the material covering this vibe is squishy, I can bend the bunny back and reposition it a little. Enough to make it work, anyway.

Speaking of the material, I’m not entirely sure what it is. According to the Lovehoney specs, it’s “skin safe rubber” and phthalate-free. Nowadays I don’t normally review products that aren’t silicone and rechargeable–at least, I try not to–and I wouldn’t ever consider using something that contained phthalates. But well, it had been a long time since I’d tried a new rabbit, and this one is modestly sized, reasonably priced, and waterproof. Plus, it feels really, really good even though it’s not the most powerful vibe in my drawer.

If you’re looking for a rabbit vibrator, don’t mind batteries, and aren’t a sex toy materials snob, then I’d recommend this one over my once-beloved Rabbit Habit, even though I lmuch prefer the simple slider controls on the Rabbit Habbit. Here’s why: Jessica Rabbit is waterproof, much more quiet, and has curved shaft. Oh, and the shaft’s motor doesn’t seem to lose much if any power when the clit vibe is at top speed, which was an issue with the Rabbit Habit.
